Mrs. Mary Ann Sharp died at her home in Northside, on Tuesday morning. While her health has been failing for some time, she was seriously ill but a few days. The funeral services were conducted at the M.E. Church on Tuesday after noon by Rev. U. M. Creath. Interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery. Miss Mary Ann Eastlack was born in Woodbury, N. Y., February 12, 1832. At the age of three her par ents moved to Ohio. She came to Indiana when ten years old. She married Isaac Sharp September 30, 1852. With the exception of a few years their life was spent in Waveland. To them were born thirteen children. Three died in infancy, Frederick Sharp at 25. Those living are Samuel B., of Bellmore; William 0. of Danville; Mrs. Emma F. Barr, Theodore M., Charles L., and John R., of Waveland; Frank A.; J. Alvah of Montezuma; and Otho W. of Mecca. Mr. Sharp died September 17, 1885. There are ten grand children and three great grand children. Mrs. Sharp joined the Waveland M. E. Church in 1853 and was one of the oldest members. In her Christian life she was modest and un assuming. Her light shone in the more retired walks of life as friend, wife and mother. She was a charter member of Siloam Lodge D. of R. Among those attending the fun eral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Alva Sharp, William Sharp, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sharp, Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Sharp, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Sharp of Newport, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Newell of Johnsonville and Mr. and Mrs. Al Eastlack of Crawfordsville. = kbz

Resolution: Hall of Siloam Lodge D or R - Waveland, Indiana April 9, 1909. Whereas, it has pleased the All Seeing Father to remove from us, Mrs. Mary Ann Sharp, a charter member of this Lodge, therefore be it. Resolved that in the death of Sister Sharp we lose one who was an ornament to our Lodge, a loving mother, good neighbor and faithful friend, and be it. Resolved that we extend to the bereaved sons and daughters our sincere sympathy in their great loss, and be it further. Resolved that the charter of this lodge be draped in mourning for 30 days, that these resolutions be spread upon the minutes, a copy thereof presented to the family of the departed and that they be published in the local papers.
